In 1921, Dr.Kenshin Imada,
while practicing
dentistry, founded a publishing house of dental books and journals.
This was the beginning of Ishiyaku Publishers Incorporated. In
1951, the company expanded into the fields of medicine, pharmacology
and nutrition.

MEDICAL Division
|
As well as the weekly, [Journal
of Clinical and Experimental Medicine](Igaku no Ayumi), the
monthly, [Medical Technology], the bimonthly, [Journal of Practical
Diabetes], the monthly, [The Journal of Clinical Rehabilitation] and the monthly, [Journal of Clinical Nutrition],
the division publishes 60 to 70 titles yearly in the fields
of medicine, rehabilitation, nursing, oriental medicine, nutrition
and pharmaceutics. About 1,100 titles are currently in print.

DENTAL Division

In addition to the monthly,
[Dental Outlook], first published in 1921 and now the longest
running dental journal, the bimonthly, [Practice in Prosthodontics],
the monthly, [The Journal of Dental Technology], the monthly,
[The Journal of Dental Hygiene], about 60 to 70 books are published
yearly, aimed at dental practitioners, dental labolatory technicians,
dental hygiene specialists and dental assistants. About 700 titles
are currently in print. Special mention should also be made of
VTR, CD-ROM and DVD.
